Liesbet is a transport and freight specialist consultant and experienced senior executive with more than 20 years of experience working for both Government and the private sector in the areas of road, rail and transport infrastructure planning in Australia and New Zealand.
 
She has been responsible for the development of significant transport strategies in the public and private sector as well as providing advice on strategic direction, new business development, rail, and freight operations costing and pricing.  Liesbet has held senior roles in the transport sector, managing both commercial and planning and policy teams in both NZ and Australia.   Prior to joining Saha International, Liesbet was the Director for Freight Strategy and Planning within the NSW Government and also recently oversaw the broader Infrastructure and Transport Planning function within the Department of Planning. She has also worked as an independent consultant with clients in Australia and New Zealand, had a senior role with a major US Railroad investing in Australia, and ran one of Tranz Rail’s largest and most profitable business lines.
