Martin Oaten
Martin is a Director and Economist with 22 years experience in consulting projects around the world. Martin has been responsible for managing a range of projects and is experienced in providing clients with advice on economic appraisal, business planning and financial analysis, due diligence and ,strategy and policy advice.
His experience includes a broad range of areas in the transport sector including roads and highways, public transport, ports and shipping, and freight studies. Martin has extensive experience in cost benefit analysis and is an expert in applying appraisal guidelines in numerous jurisdictions.
He has particular experience in undertaking both passenger and freight studies. In the freight sector, he was recently project manager for the North Sydney Rail Freight Corridor Upgrade which examined the economic and financial viability of improving the railway line between Sydney and Newcastle. In addition, Martin advised Port Kembla Port Corporation on the landside transport requirements of upgrading the Port Botany dedicated rail freight line.
