Our industry specialists have sourced, developed and implemented IT systems for incorporation into various market segment requirements such as social grant disbursement methodology, payment systems, ICT and corporate strategy alignment, and transport operations. This includes rail, bus and taxi.
One of the most challenging areas is multiple application interoperability – SAHA is currently responsible for resolving this issue for a number of projects.
Our expert industry knowledge is further demonstrated through:
- Involvement in the activities of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS South Africa);
- Discussions with the High Speed Train Transaction Advisors on standards to be adopted and the overall requirements of such systems;
- Deployment of a senior advisor who is the convenor of the SABS SC 71H dealing with intelligent transport system standards, Head of South African delegation to ISO (International Standards Organisation)/TC 204 delegation and the South African expert to TC 204 Work Group 8 dealing with Public Transport;
- Development of strategy: TC 204 WG 8 has requested that our consultant lead the preparation on a ‘White Paper’ dealing with the integration of Payment Systems with Integrated Fare Management.
